Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship for Nigerian Students: Newcastle University (UK) 2018 – 2019

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Newcastle University (officially known as the “University of Newcastle upon Tyne”) is located in Newcastle upon Tyne in England, United Kingdom. It is a public research university, with roots in the School of Medicine and Surgery and the College of Physical Science.


ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The value of the scholarship award is £3 000 (approximately 1,150,000 Nigerian Naira)


FIELDS OF STUDY COVERED
Undergraduate students: all fields
Postgraduate/ Masters students: MA, MBA, MSc, MRes, MEd, MFA, MMus, MLitt, MPH, MMedEd, MClinDent, MClinRes, MArch, LLM, LLM (by research)


ELIGIBILITY
Please ensure that you meet these minimum entry criteria before applying:
English first language OR received an IELTS score of 6.5 if English is not your first language (visit http://www.ncl.ac.uk/international/courses/language/ for alternative English language qualifications accept by Newcastle University)


Undergraduate students:
received a minimum overall IDFP average of 60% with IELTS 6.5 at the Global International College International Degree Foundation Programme, compared to ABB at A level
received a GPA 3.2/4.0 in the National Diploma, compared to ABB at A level
Postgraduate students:
received a Distinction in the Post Higher National Diploma, compared to a 2.1 and Credit or Upper Credit as comparable to a 2.2
received a 2.1 in a Bachelor degree, compared to a 2.1 and 2.2 with a minimum CGPA of 3.0-3.5/5.0, compared to to a 2.2
Received an offer to study at Newcastle University in your chosen course
Have been assessed as international for fees purposes
Registered to study at Newcastle University city centre campus, in one of the following courses:
Undergraduate students: any undergraduate degree incl integrated Masters
Postgraduate/ Masters students: MA, MBA, MSc, MRes, MEd, MFA, MMus, MLitt, MPH, MMedEd, MClinDent, MClinRes, MArch, LLM, LLM (by research)
Do NOT hold any fully-funded scholarships or fully-funded awards (which covers full tuition fees and living expenses)
